Clutch cable
Latest upgrade, Vance & Hines short shot. The pipes were for a 2012 Soft tail, I own a 2007 Super Glide, so after plugging O2 sensors & Fab/Welding the O2 sensors off my pipes everything was fine. When I came out to garage the next day I noticed a leak under bike. Like a dummy I pinched the clutch cable with bike jack & now have a small hole in cable. I was wondering if anybody know if there is a temporary fix to plug hole? I was thinking silicone caulk or maybe some liquid electrical tape? I'm worried about foreign material of chemical reaction with fluid in tranny. Learned the hard way when I was a teenager that power steering fluid ruins brake lines on my truck that had a brake fluid leak & gas station was out of brake fluid, but had power steering fluid. Figured that would get me home, it did, however the petroleum in power steering fluid destroyed all the seals in brake system. Don't want to have a repeat lesson on my Dyna. Any suggestions would be much appreciated! Thanks!
is this a hyd clutch line? you may be able to get away with getting a short piece of line from a parts store an a few clamps an either split the line an slide it over it with the seam opposite the hole an clamp it a few times or pull one end a slide it on. this might get you thru the riding season but I'd replace it before any long rides.
