Well I traded in my sportster for a 2007 Fatboy last week. Now I have big clutch troubles. Only have about 200 miles on the bike, and the clutch lever all of the sudden had tons of free play. Like it would slap me in the knuckles if i didn't push it out. So, today I decide to swap out the stock derby cover and figured that while I was in there I would adjust the clutch... I am a pretty good wrench turner and picked up the service manual just to make sure I don't miss anything. I follow the book to the tee, fire up the bike and.... nothing. the bike will not move. The only way i can get it to move at all is to turn the adjusting screw counterclockwise(out) quite a way, and then it will only barely move.
ANY IDEAS??????????
Sounds like it should go to the dealer on their truck under warranty. Maybe they forgot to lube the cables as a part of setup and they are frayed or something...
Yeah, I would play the warranty card, too. When you had the cover off, did you check to see if the clutch would engage/disengage when you squeezed the lever?
