Until someone actually has a warranty voided because of aftermarket what ever then turns around and sues, we won't ever really know. Most people just take the beating and walk away because lawyering up is expensive.

One thing for sure, HD would fold in a heartbeat if they tried to claim aftermarket exhaust or a tuner caused the sumping issue... It's well know they have an oil pump problem.

Default 2018 Fat Boy FLFBS with Screamin Eagle II's from 2006

I couldn't wait so I took some Screamin Eagle II slips on the where on my 2006 Low Rider made some bracket for them and bam. I am totally enjoying my new fat boy 114 now. Much more than when it was just stock. I did find in the process our headers are smaller that previous years. It in this thread.

Edit. Totally enjoying it with the Harley sound and the new 15" split screen I just got in. It's a must for me and the way the bike is setup. The wind buffing on the freeway is a killer. Small 15" screen does an excellent job and it really has a small foot print on the bike. I am looking 6 to 8 inches over the top of it and the wind isn't even noticeable.

Smaller Headers on the 2018s thread.

Screw them and there warranty bull crap. Scare tactics my friends, that all it is. I mean we have to spend 500 Plus for street cannons and we still don't get the sound we want? Heck only PuttNut24 can afford to buy cannons and then toss them out into the street when he gets his "Free" ones. Nice garage you have PuttNut24, the cars, the bikes, and a lift. From what I've read so far you've earned it Sir!

Here's a sound clip of my new bike with the SE II's on it. If I paste the link correctly.
The hesitation between starts is because I read that after installing the new throttle grips on the TBW. The bike needs to relearn it's idle again and will do so after 4 start with so many second between them or something similar. The second time I start it you'll notice the idle goes lower than it did during the first start in the video.

It's amazing how much more enjoyable it is to ride the new bike when it sounds right.

No clue. It would be nice if a sponsor or two popped in and gave us some news about what going on behind the locked doors.

To the sponsors: "An estimated date or anything fellows."

I've come to expect (and sometimes like) the silent treatment from the wife but not from those that makes the pipes that we have come to love and have stayed so loyal to bike after bike. We've fought for them, defended their names, and sent them hundreds of new customers. What do we get in return?......................(silence that's what the ...... is suppose to be.............. It cuts deep.....

In the meantime I will be looking for the right set of bars for the bike.

Oh man that sounds good! This definitely puts the "it does not sound like a Harley" BS to rest.

Cheers!

Can hardly wait, but have to. I went Stage I + II and just learned that the pushrod backorder got pushed further out to Oct. 6th. Dealer says no worries on the 60-day limit, since I ordered within the window, in case it keeps getting pushed.

I think the sound is perfect for what I’m looking for. Thanks!

I thought I read some where someone say that the M8 will not sound like a Harley. I am not sure what their intent was. Maybe just stirring the pot.

DonBo18 are those the cannons on you new bike?

Nope not yet. Waiting on the pushrods that are currently backordered, then Stage I & II will happen at the same time. I really don’t want the bike to get too loud. Done that before. Couldn’t stand it. I’m encouraged that it’ll sound just right with the SE stuff.
