Who can tell me if the decalls on a FXSB are stickers under a clearcoat on the gastank and fender or are they painted ?

 

That's why they're called decals.

 

yes but I call it decal because my Harley dealer said that they are no decals but painted on.

If they are decal is there someone that have a part n° for them.

The reason why I ask is because I bought myself a Thundebike short fender kit and would love to have the stripes like on the oem on it.

 

A pinstripe MAY be painted on but the tank adornment from the factory is a decal 99% of the time.

 

I heard they may be silk screened

 

They indeed are silk screened. When you have it painted, just take it somewhere with a proficient air brush artist. They are very simple stripes to be duplicated.

I want to remember you all that I live in Belgium, a special painter is a endangered species overhere. I would be glad to find a decent painter who can paint the parts without me polishing them for ages to get all the dust out .

I was hoping they where decals and I could order them from HD, if not .... it is going to be a all black fender I'm afraid .

 

The front fender is solid color anyway so it will still look good

 

Yes the front is no prob, but the rear looks better with the stripes on IMO
