Default Coming back to the Heritage.....

I have ridden a 14 Street Glide 17.5K miles over the last 4 years. Loved the bike. Spent WAY too much on performance and farkle (like no one else has..... LOL). Late last season and all of this season, I've been wanting to go to something a little lower. Something a little bottom heavy. Something not so wide, and something a bit less complex. I had an 05 Heritage for a short time after an accident which I bought with the collision settlement. Had it 4 months and when the medical settlement came in, I bought the Street Glide.....

So I'm doing a deal in a couple of weeks. It's an even trade for a '16 Heritage with 3,900 miles on it, an air kit, V&H slipons and an FP3.

And I can't WAIT!!!! So I'll be saying good-bye to the Rushmore forum and coming back to where I started on here. I know, no pictures, didn't happen. The bike is a few states away so when I get it home later this month, I'll post some.

Must be a trend. I traded my 2011 Road Glide Ultra for a brand new 2017 Heritage last Tuesday. Been wanting to get back on a more basic motorcycle for a while. Ten days in, I already have 846 miles on the Heritage. I plan to ride tomorrow and do the 1k service tomorrow night. Hope you love your Heritage as much as I'm enjoying mine.

Do any of you guys miss your radio?? I have a sportster and really feel like I'm "missing" music. I was thinking the next bike would be a RG or SG, but that new Heritage is so nice looking. Only thing I feel like id be missing is a radio.

I was thinking about dumping my Heritage for a Street Glide, I'm not a big fan of the B motor and cornering isn't the best.. BUT...

Nope. Not one bit ( at least not yet). In fact, it's really nice to enjoy the motorcycling experience without all those distractions. Probably safer too. I rode for years before anybody ever thought about putting a radio on a bike. Back then I rode to get away from all that crap. Don't know what ever possessed me to want stereo, CB, intercom and the rest of it. But if you really want tunes all you need is a Bluetooth headset and a smartphone and you're good to go.

Default Crazy...

My last two bikes were an Ultra Classic and then to a Gold Wing and then one day, it hit me. I want to get back to a real motorcycle without all the bells and whistles. I bought an 09 Heritage and I'm loving it!!! I like the low seat height and just the feel of it on the road. Must be something in the air...

I have a '13 Heritage and I wanted a RK. They didn't have what I was looking for, so I went with the Heritage and I'm DIGGIN' IT. I really didn't think I would be this happy with it. And as far a tunes go, I added a Reckless fairing with an amp and speakers so I just plug in my phone and I'M OFF.
