Default Primary taking too much fluid

Hey guys, so I just installed an Energy 1 clutch and auto tensioner and my manual says 26oz of fluid for my bike ( 03 Train ) or till you see the fluid at bottom of spring. Well after soaking my plates, I used the rest of that bottle ( Redline ) which was close to full so I went and bought another bottle today as I cant see the fluid yet and I used all but a couple ounces of 2nd bottle and I can see fluid but its still not quite to clutch spring, something just doesn’t seem right as thats a lot of fluid. Any ideas or suggestions? I stumped on this one, thanks!!

Do the new parts have less physical mass or area ?
Could it be a typo ?

No difference, my Harley service manual is where I got that info from amd I also called up to local HD dealership and service dept said he didn’t know and to just fill it up till bottom of clutch spring, but 2 quarts seems excessive

It's because you pulled the primary cover off to do the work...that 26 ounce number is if you just did a fluid change, you were filling it from empty

I only changed the plates, not the hub

Whats the difference, its not the same draining the fluid amd adding new as draining it and removing primary cover?
