Default Auxiliary lights on my Slim

Just installed Auxiliary Lights on my 2012 Slim. I had no intention on mounting these, but I wanted to use the HD Windsplitter windshield and it only works with this setup. Of course after the fact I had read that there is another method of using it w/o the lights.

Who cares what reason it took to get them on your bike.
Take a ride at night.... You won't give a CRAP why you have them. You will just love that you did. I was BLOWN AWAY at how much needed light aftermarket LEDs add in terms of safety and vision.

I like it, my windshield only gets used during colder weather or road trips, same with the sissy bar.

What did you use to mount the crossbar? I've got 3 different setups, first one used the triple tree lower pinch bolt, I didn't like it, to much vibration.
Second one used a "P" clamp on the fork tube that interfered with the windshield quick release clamps.
Last one need me to bolt to the bottom of the lower tree, this would require drilling and tapping the lower tree but I thing the fork rake will point the lights at an upward angle and I was told drilling and tapping the lower tree was not advisable by many here.

The kit I used had the crossbar already attached to the mounting brackets:
