Looking to purchase my 1st bike, but unsure which one to get: Heritage Classic, Fat Boy, Road King/Glide, or Electra Glide.
Parameters: I live in the Black Hills of South Dakota, so lots of both twists/turns and long highway miles visiting relatives across the state. Gonna ride 2-up at least 80% of the time; I'm 6'/300#, Ol' Lady is 5'9"/200#. Budget is under $10k, so used and probably a 90s or early 2000s model.

I can speak from personal experience, after owning a deluxe, Road king and a heritage, I now have a fatboy, and I'm not regretting the choice. That being said it all comes down to what you like. If you plan on doing long highway miles id look into a touring model.
The problem with asking about opinions on bike choice is people will be telling you what THEY like best....none of us know enough about you to really make a good recommendation for you.....
You need to spend some money and find a dealer that rents bikes.... spend a day on each one you are considering and ride it where you will be spending a lot of your riding time...
You'd be surprised how a day in the saddle can eliminate or make your choice for you.......
Something smaller. And wait on carrying a passenger for a year or so...get your skills down first.
I completely understand the concerns. Unfortunately, if I don't take my wife along, I ain't gonna live long enough to enjoy the 1st ride on it, lol. She logged alot of miles on a bike with one of her ex-boyfriends, and is probably more anxious for me to get a bike than I am.
I know I will be getting alot of personal opinions and that's okay.
Never rode before ? Are you sure you want to begin on a large Harley ? Just saying ! Over Forty years ago I rode a 750 Honda to Alaska from Illinois and my wife and I the following year drove the same bike to California and up and down the West coast. No accidents. Now at 71 years of age I convinced her that I needed a 2018 Fat Boy after over 40 years of not riding ! After many arguments of why this was not a good idea she relented as long as I could get my motorcycle license endorsement. To make a long story short while practicing on the DMV course I crashed the 150 cc scooter. I received a concussion, bleeding from the brain, many abrasions on face, legs, arms and will have surgery to install a titanium plate in cheek area under my eye this morning !! Just don't go beyond your abilities.

Rented a 2017 Indian Legacy couple weeks ago and cruised 2-up for 250 miles around the Black Hills.
Started out 63° and partly cloudy. By 2pm it dropped to 49° and started drizzling with 32 mph cross-winds. Finally got home in the drizzling darkness.
Still, all in all, my wife and I had a hell of a good time. Oh, did I mention that I pulled my right hamstring halfway though the ride? When I bust a cherry, I bust it right!
