Taillight conversion help 2012 faboy
Hate to beat a dead horse but I see this says it's an auxiliary light setup. Does that mean that I will still have to run a taillight or could I completely get rid of the taillight setup and just use my 2 blinkers as running lights??? Sorry for all the questions but electrical is not my strong suit
If you mean no main tail light, I seriously doubt running without a dedicated tail light would be legal in any state. I can't speculate to running without a tail light at all. In the old days, you could have just wired past it. Now with all the sensors, ECM, voltage detection, etc... I have no idea. I haven't looked in depth into the computer/electrical system on a Harley.
If you mean the brake light function for the turnlights: as I read the description on that harness, the turn lights will light up too when you hit the brakes. If this is the functionality you're talking about removing in regards to "tail light," I don't see why you couldn't. You would have to spend some time with the electrical diagrams and would need one for that harness to identify which wire it was on.

Not sure what you're asking here...

I would like to remove the taillight itself from the rear and change my blinkers to function as all (running, brake, and blinkers) so that the only light is coming from my bullets in the rear. But all 3 functions will be from the bullets
