I recently purchased the HD tail light, rear turn signals, and rear fender tip light. Wiring was pretty straight forward, until I went to do the rear fender light. Since it is a brake light also, there was a wire in the connector already, where the rear turn signals would connect to make brakes. I put the old fender tip light on, and wired as per directions, but I am thinking about getting a quick splice connector to join the rear signals with the brake wire off the new fender tip light. Any thoughts? Space is pretty tight under the brake light now, but it should be OK for that. Thanks for any info.
In the same dilemma as you. Thinking about the LED rear brake lamp and turn signals with the rear fender-tip light. I found out the other day in a thread here that the light switch is already used by the turn's LED pigtail. Now thinking about 2 other options. 1st is use the HD fender tip light and the HD running stop light modulator and keeping all bulbs instead of LEDs. 2nd is using Custom Dynamics LEDs all around. Front & rear turns, rear tail lamp and fender tip light all for $464 shipped. Decisions decisions. Anybody got input?

It all go together nicely, just that little hiccup. It will work real nice if there was an extra jumper. The turn sigs come with two jumpers, a third with the small connector would work just fine (p/n 69138-10 and p/n 72912-01BK). I have searched parts online, the jumper doesn't come up, but the two hole connector does. I may just leave as is until I get back to the states, extract the wire and do it right.
I installed the HD LED Tail & Turn signals, also bought the Custom Dynamics Run-Brake Fender Tip light to install. The HD lights use all available connectors so I spliced into the proper wires Custom Dynamics says to use. Wound up blowing a fuse, the same fuse twice. I removed the Custom Dynamics wires and reinstalled the stock HD fender tip light wires. Left the CD Fender Tip light installed. It runs bright (brake mode). I talked to CD tech guy, dont recall his name, explained my situation and he said he hasn't had any experience with the new HD LED Tail & Turn signals but running CD Fender Tip light in constant brake mode wont hurt anything. I've been running it like this for about 6 months with no problems. I don't have a Fender Tip brake light but I do have a bright Fender Tip light that is seen allot better.
I have the HD LED Tail light, HD LED turn signals and HD fender tip run/brake light as well.I didn't do any splicing,I tinned the brake wire from the signal-lights with solder to make it rigid and inserted it into the back of the fender tip light connector alongside the existing pin.Did the same with the wiring for the LED tag light in the RK turnsignal bar.It isn't up to mil spec but the wires are secure and haven't had any problems yet.If I remember correctly the run light voltage for the lights was picked up from a vacant cavity in the tail light connector. There isn't a lot of room behind the tail light for splice connectors.

Thanks for the idea, I was not too keen on splicing the wires, just incase I had to start taking stuff apart. Anyway, I went out to take a look at the connector, I believe I will be doing the same as you, I will have to wait until this summer though, all my good tools are back in my garage. Thanks again!!!!
