Has anybody used the $89 tour pak sold on ebay? Have they been on the market for awhile? I just saw it today. $89 for a new tour pak seems hard to believe. It is small but is has a backrest, top rack, lock, weatherstripping, mounting brackets etc. Must be Chinese. Is it naive to even bring up the question of quality?
I don't know how to post the link but it should be easy to find.

I bought a denim black one for $100 and later added a stainless steel luggage rack for $35. For the money I don't think you can go wrong. They are smaller and obviously not as stout but they work. The paint matches well and it holds just enough for me. The luggage rack will easily hold another bag/sleeping bag. I bought the quick detach rack and bolted it up. For less than $300 for case/rack/mount I am very satisfied....
Where are you finding the $89 tour pack? Post a link please. I found this one for $174 +shipping. Is it the same one? I never searched for them on ebay. It would be really nice for our long rides. If someone has a pic, could you throw one on here?
I ride with 2 different guys now with them. One has over 100,000 miles on it on the back of a Roadking. The other was just added a few months ago. Both are happy with them, but they are small. Better than nothing....
We had a '06 Standard E-Glide I was thinking about installing one on till we decided to just trade.
I think both of these are on quick release brackets. One thing they both did.....The little pack will be kinda short and hit your ladies back down low. They both added a spacer raising the pak up about 3-4" for comfort. I think they used a couple pieces of 2x4's cut, sanded, painted Black. Never see them under it till someone tells you they did it. I only know this cause I heard the first guy telling the other guy when they were talking about installing his....
I don't see where they put a spacer under either of them??? I'll ask them again, we are riding up to Milwaukee Tuesday together and see what they say.......
