Hello everyone, I am hesitating between buying the fat bob 107 or the xdiavel. Having tried each, I loved both for different reasons, but I feel that the harley could be nimbler and more agile in corners with sport tires, sadly the best tires mostly come in 17'', so I was wondering if anyone knew of 17'' wheels that could be fit on it. As importantly a lot of good tires don't exist with a 150 front, but rather in 120, so I was wondering whether it would be possible to fit 120 front wheel on it without changing the t?
I think a lot of folks will look at the Fat Bob or the XDiavel however don't think there's going to be any way the FB will perform near the level of the Duc without spending a crap ton of money. Firstly there's a 128 LB weight penalty of the FB and secondly the XDiavel has a 40 degree lean angle. Granted the FB may be made more nimble but not XDiavel nimble. The rear tire is designed specifically for the XD.
I'm not trying to crap all over you trying to make the FB perform better, I think it can and I think it's a hoss of a bike and personally I'd have a hard time making the decision between the two (as a Ducati lover and owner). The xDiavel has cruise control and a bigger fuel tank so those are both wins IMO...in addition to the 152 HP.
Thank you for your replies. I also found that the ducati handles better while the harley is more comfortable. I don't expect the harley to handle as well, but if I go for the harley / comfort option, I still would like to marginally improve the handling, hence the question about the 17'' wheels, who enable to put tires with a rounder profile.
