Default Dang Security System!

Note to self........

Don't leave your motorcycle keys on the bike for an extended period of time, lest the security system will DRAIN THE FRAKING FOB BATTERY!!

Thieves are always looking for easy targets, don’t give them an even easier one by leaving the keys with it

LOL That would never happen. It was parked in the garage in front of my Mustang!

I only did it as I get tired of the disco light show just by bumping the handlebars. They were sitting on the seat for about a week.

Get in the habit of replacing the fob battery every spring. Most of all, commit your security code to memory.

You can disable the security system for winter storage.

I used to carry a couple spare batteries in the tour pack (last bike, after having issues twice).
The day I bought it & again when I was at the shop getting the seat work done.
It was nice when someone else in the group had battery problems.

The security code was the first thing I reset after getting her home, something I would always remember.

My wife always keeps her FOB in her helmet on the bars of the bike when it's parked in the garage. Had no idea this would drain the FOB battery.

Thanks for the info.

Good to know as I was thinking about doing this on my Ultra when it sits in the garage.
