I only had it scrape once but after I stiffened the shotgun a little bit it did not happen again and I do love to lean it a bit. I usually have it set a little higher than it is on the picture and my weight is 195. I don't ride 2up cause my wife rides hers and as you can see from the pictures I removed the rear pad and never put it back.
Hard to get an idea on your bike coz of the covers you have
But if youre not scrapping I might do 2 and if I hate it Ill go up I guess
Hey Dan. If your referring to the fork covers take a look at the first picture it gives you a good idea on how low the front will be lowered. I went with SE Heavy so it wont bottom out.
I used 10wt in that bike and 20wt in one of my other softails and will use whatever I have laying around when I do my third bike. With the Monotubes the oil is just there as a lubricant for the spring/bushings, it has no effect on the damping or suspension action since that is all handled in the cartridge...
One of the often overlooked 'bonuses' of Monotubes is not having to worry about failing fork seals like before. We are now running less than half (5oz each leg compared to 12+oz) of the fluid as before so even if our seals develop a small tear/failure it won't have the same effect as the stock open bath hydraulic system. Obviously if you notice fork oil leaking you will want to change the seals but I have not seen a bike with Monotubes have a fork seal leak/failure yet...

Hey Dan,
I donât know how hot summers are at your place, but the white spacers from the kit can deform when your bike is standing in the blazing sun for a long time. Pictures attached. Something to take care about.

I am really happy to hear all the positive feedback on the Progressive front suspension. I have Progressive monotubes being installed. My stock front seals were leaking, then my bike got got hit while parked outside my house, so I decided to upgrade from 18 to 21 inch front wheel and the monotubes. Been wondering how much of a ride improvement I am going to feel while swapping bigger wheel at same time.

You will be happy
No more sloppy ride
I perhaps could have just gone a 1 drop but regardless Im very satisfied
