Fat Boy Rattle
I just got back from the dealer. I have a 2018 Fat Boy, 360 miles. I love it. But I noticed a rattling sound between 2500 and 3000 RPM and could not find it. It was coming from the front of the bike and colleagues and friends had more opinions than I could use. So I simply took it to the dealer. They located the problem after a short test ride in the headlamp assembly. While I like to look of the headlight assembly I pegged it a a potential problem over the long haul and it no doubt will be. While they easily fixed it (missing grommet) this may be a short time look for the Fat Boy. So if your M8 2018 Fat Boy rattles at the aforementioned RPM ranges, put you ears near he head lamp assembly and hit the throttle (standing next to it, not while riding and no...its probably not the timing chain, lifters, rocker arms, etc. and the engine is not about to explode).

Sorry.....could not help myself. Had a new truck that rattled in bed at low speeds. Once dealership found it they found a screw driver between bed and fender well. ***** happens!
