Holy **** that looks awesome. That's probably the best looking picture of a 2018 Heritage I have ever seen.
It looks way better than on Harley's site. On Harley's site, the green is lighter with almost a slight yellow tint and the black tempest is more gray looking.
cheers Prot. I've been taking a few shots, but that's the best one I could find to actually show what the colors are like in the flesh and outdoors.
I did consider the same tactics as what I now know many other m8 riders are up to, awful stories and photos, just to throw people off the scent, thereby keeping numbers low and unique. I just couldn't do that to poor Olive though. She's really getting under my skin quick. Im in love. Yesterday she even took me to a Church !!! I think she's hinting at getting hitched !
Great badge too! Stole my thunder. I have a few laying around here and the 65 pan emblem is in the top 2 choices for me. The new emblem growing on me, and I know I'll get shot for saying this, but I can't help but feel the new badge on olive just looks a bit like a door handle. Good choice on yours !
BTW, Olive looks great without the passenger seat.
With the amount of chrome on the bike it might be difficult, but I am sure someone will come up with a way to work in some of the bronze collection on the Olive Heritage. I really like the bronze but can't see it on my Black and chrome FXDC.
i have fought with myself for months deciding on an Anniversary Blue or Olive 114.
Your post makes the decision more difficult but I will decide soon with the Anniversary models hitting the floor this month.
Tell you something else that I've got not only comfortable with but almost greatful for. The aesthetically tragic saddlebag locks. Seems like they could have found something a bit more low profile for the actuation mechanism,,,,HOWEVER, went to go out for a ride Yesterday, and just before I left, got a call from my son. He had accidentally deflated his front tyre at the gas station across town with a bad fitting. No problem, wrapped up my old foot pump in a towel, press the button, click, pop, done. 30 minutes after that, picked up some take away for dinner,,,click, pop, done. Not once did I need to get down on one knee or mess round with buckles or latches. I get that some of the simpler stuff from years gone on the Heritage may stand the test of time better, but for now, I'm loving the convenience. Aesthetic or not.

I was in the same boat. My last Heritage was an o3 Anni. One of the sexiest bikes I've owned. The new one is stunning as well. The one thing that tipped me away was the actual limited edition writing on the bar clamp etc. Love the paint, the pin stripes, the badge, the lot really. It was the small modern twist of things like the handlebar clamp writing the pushed me to Olive, something I felt was a bit more classic.

Yep. Great pic of the Morse code on the bags, seat, and tank weld cover.
