I need some help in choosing right windshield height for my 2014 Slim. I am 5'10" and I have mustang vintage seat that I feel is about one inch higher from stock. What windshield height will be one for me. I know I should be looking over. It and windshield edge should be between nose and chin when sitting on the bike but I have no way to try it before purchase (private person sale)
I really hope there is someone with my heights that can share how tall is their windshield so I dont waste my money.
I am actually ooking for one that is from HD described as 17" I never had windshield before and read a lot about buffeting and all these things and I am kinda on the frnse with the whole thing but planning to do some more riding this season and 80mph for over 1 hr is no fun for sure
Go to dealer; sit on bikes with windscreen.. when you find the right height for you on dealer bike ask salesman the height, or bring tape measure with you. thats what I did....
I have a Memphis Shades on mine, measures 13.5 inches from top headlight cut out to top of wind shield and i could use a couple more inches,i have a Mustang wide seat
Harley generally measures their windscreens from the top of the cutout for the headlight. A "recurve" windshield adds about 2" to the effective height of the windshield.
I'm 5'8 on a Fat Bob and I easily look over the top of the 19" windshield they offer. It hits me at about chin height. May or may not apply to your scenario, I don't know how the windshields sit on your bike.
I am 5'8" run a Mustang wide vintage solo seat. The Memphis Shade Rio Grande works very well for me. It is advertised as a 19" windshield.
My bike is a 2017 Slim.
