Ever since I sold my '13 Fatboy I've regretted it. Once I saw the redesigned 2018, I wasn't a fan of the changes although a 114 motor would be cool.
I happened to find a 2017 Fatboy in vivid black at a local dealer with an MSRP of $16,899. The salesman tried hard to make a sale and even the manager came out to add a little urgency. So, they offered to sell the bike at $14,600 plus tax, title, and $250 doc fee. I think I paid $15,200 back in 2013 and that bike didn't have ABS.
Do any of you think I can do better than $14,600 on a leftover 2017 Fatboy since they completely redesigned the bike for '18? Is this a great deal?
I can't answer that question, but I can say that there's a promotion going on where any new 2015-2017 Harley (any leftover) that's sold before February 28 gets a free extended warranty. I think this is a Harley promotion but it may only be offered at certain dealers, I don't know. Here's an example of one who offers it. So make sure you get that in the deal.
I would think most dealers would be very motivated to clear out the older inventory. $14,600 sounds good. Maybe some clothing allowances, accessory upgrades or extended service would be enough to make me jump on it.
That’s a pretty good deal, the dealer I bought my bike from yesterday is selling a used 15 for more than that.
The free warranty is at my dealer as well plus no payments until April but not sure on combining offers.

No payments till xxx sounds good but it yields the bank and dealer more interest
Well, this deal got sweeter since I posted earlier today. The dealer called me back and said the rock bottom price is now $14,200. The warranty doesn't start until April so they only extended it 4 months, but that's better than nothing. My credit union is offering 3.5% for 60 months on new motorcycles. They're also offering me a 20% discount on any accessories I buy with the bike. I'm going to sign the paperwork tomorrow.
