Two Bikes
If decision making is that difficult for you, then you should only own 1 bike.

i have two and will probaly get two more, i'm eyeing a mv agusta dragster rr and a 2018 softie.. i'm waiting on the softie.... watching the fallout.
as far as deciding wat to ride.. you walk out in to the garage and get on what calls to you or it's based on where your are going to ride. i know that if i'm hitting the highway or going really far, the sportster is out of the question. i know if i'm just going out to scratch an itch, the sporty is where it's at. insurance is $750/yr because i have all my mods on as accessories.
i'm the same with my cars. if i'm goofing off and not shopping, z4. shopping/snow/rain/werewolves.. everything else bad, jeep. going on a long ride civic (super gas millage).
you kinda just roll with how you feel that day. the awesomeness of adulthood and hardwork!

I have a 2016 Ultra classic, 2003 Heritage Softail, and 2001 Springer....
Other than using the Ultra for long, multi-day rides.... I just ride whatever "mood" I'm in...
It's really a great "problem" to have.....
One big benefit of multiple bikes.... when doing maintenance, installations, or repairs.... there is no rush or deadline to get it finished... you can take your time, do it right, and do it well.....

I try not to count...sig is “just the Harleys”...doesn’t even include the wife’s and son’s bikes...which I ride too
.
First few years having more than one I felt like I was supposed to prefer one and wondered if I was riding the others enough...got over that and just enjoy riding them all. I tend to ride each for 3-5 consecutive days at a time commuting, weekends I’ll grab whichever for day rides. Nothing ever feels routine or gets into a rut. Every time I swap it’s almost new all over again. $$ adds up, but it’s nice to have options as Lauren pointed out. Each are s different personality too...love them all.
