Default '18 Heritage fork mounted wind deflectors...anyone have them?

I've been looking and finally found some from an after market company but they look really weird. The parts guy at my local HD said I could probably drill another hole in the current HD model of wind deflectors to make them fit. Has anyone done this? What about clearance for an engine guard?

I don't have a Heritage, I have a Fat Bob, so my answer may be of limited use. I bought a set of Paughco fork-mounted wind deflectors. I drilled a hole, and had to cut a notch, and they fit, they look great, and they work fine. The Heritage has the windshield holes in a different position from the Fat Bob, so while I expect you'll have to drill a hole, there's always a chance that you may not need to.

I purchased a set for the 2017 Deluxe from J&P Cycles. Had to drill one hole to mach the lower connection point on the Heritage. Better price than H-D or other custom MFGR.

They fit with no interference with the engine guard.

To me they look good and more importantly they work well, along with my 15" Freedom Shield, to do a good job of reducing buffeting.

Here is my Cherry with Fangs!!!!

Hello DeeRides, I agree with FrankEV. The fork lowers do a lot in dealing with buffeting and I think they look good with the black engine guards. The ones on my '18 Heritage were on my '16 Heritage, just had to drill one extra hole on the lower end. On a side note, nice color FrankEV. Ride On !

FrankEV's fangs look like Paughco's. That's what I have on my bike, but in black.

The fangs on my '18 Heritage are the ones that were on my '14 Road King. A little drilling to fit and they work beautifully.

I have a set of wind deflectors (fangs) on order. I was also thinking of getting a engine guard and putting on some lowers....

What do you guys think? Overkill, as in too much? Just right? The fangs will do a good enough job?

Install the Fangs and go for a ride before you add lowers. Then see if you need the lowers

Got these today from JES, look good. Don't know if this is the aftermarket brand you mean but they don't look weird.
