Just buyed my first harley davidson and i am waiting for the delivery and the right weather to arrive here in sweden.
As im going to put the harley into a van (Renault trafic) i need to know the measurements to know if it will fit.
Also, i have seen a strapless transport system called "B&w biker bar" - have you guys tried it and is it OK to use this for transporting my bike for about 2000km?
thank you so much. I saw this earlier but what does "overall lenght" mean? Is it the total maximum lenght for the bike? Sorry for my bad english..
is it as per the picture?
Your Trafic van has a floor length of 2537mm, the length of your bike is 2370mm, so it will fit. You can always put it in diagonally too.
And yes, of course the length of the bike as stated on the HD website is indeed the total length, otherwise, what would be the point of giving the length?
As for that bar thing ... Seems a tad complicated for the occasional transport and requires drilling holes in the floor of your van.
Don't forget to put your brand new bike in transport mode or you will arrive with a flat battery.
