Default M8 stock Muffler exhaust gasket troubles

So I’m having a pain of a time mounting up the stock muffler with the required exhaust gasket...close, got one on, but cannot line the other up with the mounting bracket. “Trying” wrecked the gasket....kinda fragile... so I gotta spend another $13(each) on these things.

I know some aftermarket pipes don’t require a gasket, but trying an experiment with the stocker.

Any tips from those that have dealt successfully with them???

Well, found the problem. Metal support ring from the old gasket was left on the pipe by the dealer. It was hidden by the heat shield. No room for two. Guess the Street Canons fit without an issue. Unfortunately wrecked my new gasket trying to get the pipe on. Now of course they are on backordered....

Carry on with your Sunday...

Do you know if the Rineharts require gaskets?
