I took off my pipes ( stock ) to do some work and put the same exhaust gaskets back in. They werent crushed or frayed and now im getting popping when I let off the throttle.Im guessing the gaskets or either worn or not seating. When I put the old gasket back in I did notice there is plenty of room for another gasket to go on top of the one already there. Im wondering if I put 2 on each exhaust if it would seal any better.
2 gaskets you haave about 1 chance in a million tonot have problems! I'm with those guys just replace them with new-you should never re-use exhaust gaskets as they are crushed into form during initial install.that's why they didn't work for ya.
I can not see how two gasket would fix without leaking. One gasket install correctly will not leak unless there is a bad vibration problem with the exhaust header. There mitt be a crack in the end of the header by the exhaust.
