Default putting 2 exhaust gaskets on each pipe

I took off my pipes ( stock ) to do some work and put the same exhaust gaskets back in. They werent crushed or frayed and now im getting popping when I let off the throttle.Im guessing the gaskets or either worn or not seating. When I put the old gasket back in I did notice there is plenty of room for another gasket to go on top of the one already there. Im wondering if I put 2 on each exhaust if it would seal any better.

out with the old, in with the new. 2 gaskets does not make it double good, it doubles the chance for a leak.

2 gaskets you haave about 1 chance in a million tonot have problems! I'm with those guys just replace them with new-you should never re-use exhaust gaskets as they are crushed into form during initial install.that's why they didn't work for ya.

When I did mine they had two styles of gasket, a thin one and a thick one. Check and see if anyone has a different one from the one you have.

I can not see how two gasket would fix without leaking. One gasket install correctly will not leak unless there is a bad vibration problem with the exhaust header. There mitt be a crack in the end of the header by the exhaust.

I've had my pipes on and off so many times that I can't count. I've had stock, Short shots and Pythons.

Never changed the gaskets and don't have a problem.

I realize they are crush gaskets, but as long as they are not torn or pieces missing, they should seal.

My guess is that the seal is not seated correctly or the possibly at the flange.
