Default fender light dimensions

Im hoping someone can help me out with some much needed info. Ive dinged the front fender on my Softail Deluxe with a rock chip thats just a touch off center on the front fender. I was thinking that instead of incurring the cost of a re spray or worse yet a new fender, id just cover up the ding with the fender light from a heritage springer. Because the rock ding is to the left of the center line of the fender I need to know just how wide the Heritage Springer fender light is at its widest point. My hope is that its a bit wider than 2 inches so that it will cover when mounted in the center. Can anyone help with the dimensions??? Thanks!!!

I appreciate the the attempt at an estimated size, but I am more in need of an accurate measurement as the ding is off center by 1.25" If your estimate of 2.5 inches is correct id have it covered, but JUST covered. If your estimate is anything less then 2.5 inches id be screwed.

Your local HD parts guy may have one in stock that you can take out of the box and measure.

thats the first place I checked. I dont know about your local Harley dealers but around here nobody wants to tie up capital with inventory. But they will all be "more than happy to order anything you need"
