Default Speedo & turn signal issues

1992 Heritage softail. Turn signals work when sitting still but when I get going they dont. Also the speedo is erratic, jumps around from 20 to 40 mph. I was thinking speedo sensor and/or turn signal module. I'm not sure if this model even has the TCM. Hope someone can help! I need to know my speed and for safety would like folks to know when I'm turning. Thanks!

Disconnect the white/green wire going to the speedo and see if your signals work. If so it's the auto cancel in the speedo.

Your '92 has a speedometer driven by a cable and gear drive from the front wheel. Check to be sure the cable and the speedometer drive isn't damaged. The turn signals "self cancel" via a reed switch in the speedometer which sends the shutoff signal after a set distance/time is traveled, whichever occurs first. If the speedo isn't working correctly, the turn signals won't auto cancel.

Thanks guys, I've ordered a speedo. The one that's on there is really lose where the cable hooks up. Lose enough that if you wiggle it the speedo needle jumps.
