Low idle, engine dying.
I have a 2008 Softail Night Train that sounds like it has a low idle and if I don't give it throttle it stalls. It fluctuates up and down, dropping so low it stalls, doesn't matter if I'm coming to a stop or just start it and let it idle in the driveway. If anyone has insight with this let me know. I'm not wanting to take it to the dealer if I don't have to.

I would start by unhooking the battery wait about 5-10 min hook back up and start it, that should reset your ECU, If not try what DonN suggested but use Throttle body cleaner. Good luck, ride safe.

Could be a dirty IAC (idle air control) as DonN suggested. Do a search on the forum, google or YouTube for IAC cleaning. You are supposed to cycle it for a good clean.
