Default Is This Excessive?

I bought my 18 Heritage 114 on Saturday, October 20, 2017. On the following Tuesday, I took it in for the 1,000 service. At 2,000 miles I had the Stage II done with the Torque cam and Rinehart exhaust. I will be doing my 15,000 service this weekend. This will make 5 oil changes and 1 tire. The original Dunlop lasted 14,000 miles plus.

I kinda feel guilty, I have put exactly 63 miles on my truck in the same time period.

So, the question is, is this excessive, do I have a problem that maybe requires medical attention?

In my opinion I would think it would be a problem that needs medical attention if you hardly ever rode it!

Don’t feel bad about not driving your truck. I once went about 2 months without driving mine at all.

The last time I put gas in my truck was October last year. I don't remember when I put gas in my van, but it was last year. Both are showing 3/4 tank right now. A popular topic on the forum is battery tenders/maintainers; mine get used as much on the 4 wheelers as the bikes.

Full disclosure: I use a sidecar rig more in summer than the truck & van, but I haven't ridden any of my bikes since last November, when the really heavy salt season started here; also my first bout of flu, and I'm just now getting over it for the third time this winter. Been one of the worst winters I've had, really looking forward to getting back on the road this coming week, really sucked seeing the salt washed off, nice weather and I was housebound.

Yes you definitely have an issue. I think the only cure is to get your service done as soon as possible so you can get back out and ride. Hurry before it becomes fatal.

Good on ya, and I bet you had no warranty issues either.....and no you do not have any issues; this a completely normal condition for real riders I have been told.....give another 15k a try to see if I'm right........

If I lived where you do I’d be right there with you. I bought my current bike in September 2017 and it only has 8239 miles on it. That’s because I live in Ohio where winter is 7 months long (at least this year it was). I ride in the cold, rainy, shitty Ohio weather but once the roads get slick and salty I have to park it in the garage on the battery tender. Man I wish I lived where you do.
