has anyone re chromes their spokes ont the bike?
also, other option, putting in new spokes, can they be changed out one by one?

If you are going to re-chrome your spokes, why not just buy a set of chrome ones? They would probably cost less money and the turnaround time would be shorter.

You might be able to replace the spokes one by one, but you'd have to remove the wheel from the bike and strip the tire and brake rotor(s) and pulley. After that you'd still have to tension and true the wheel.

When my original zinc spokes rusted from exposure to acid rain (parked overnight in Wilkes Barre, PA), I taught myself how to build wheels following the instructions in the factory service manual. I simply bought a new set of spokes and cut the old spokes out with bolt cutters. I then built up new wheels and trued them on a home made stand using an old spoke as a "pointer".

I learned to build wheels because I couldn't find anybody in my area who knew how to build a laced wheel.

By 2014 (ten years later), my rims had rusted on the inside to the point of being unsafe (200,000 miles), so I bought new rims, spokes and NOS hubs and built myself two brand new wheels.

I'm unaware of any way to "re-chrome" the spokes "on the wheel", but there might be something. I'm unsure of the results, though.

Why not buy RVS ones, they last forever and no more rust.
