Were you able to negotiate the price on your 2018 Softail Heritage Classic?

With out getting into a long discussion...ANY dealer that you can negotiate with is NOT getting my business. Mind you I've purchased over 12 Harley's from my local dealer, thus they love seeing my face walk through the door.

At least in my area, the dealers don’t seem to have much room to move on price. They will offer extras like % off parts and accessories purchases. I paid pretty much MSRP minus a few points out the door and went with the dealer that offed the best after purchase discounts.

Location plays a part. Here in the midwest where my dealership is, most things are negotiable.............

Few things - YES... Also the Metroplex dealers have USURIOUS frieght and prep rates.. Prep should be free as MoCO pays for this. Frieght is a std 390.00. When I shopped my 16 RGU, DFW dealers were looking for 1200 prep and 750 freight.. um no..

I attempted to purchase two new Harleys in my lifetime here in the Hampton Roads area. They were always playing games like that. Usually to the tune of of padding the total close to 5K. Last time, I offered Harleys suggested retail, tax, title, plate switch, their posted process fee and shipping. They still fudged numerous numbers even adding advertising fee to the totals. I walked and will never go back except for free barbeque but I do buy a couple qts of formula +.and a filter.

Toyota and Subie dealers here are the same way. I complained to the DMV on the Toyota dealer and he wrote me a check for $800 and gave me lifetime parts for my truck at his cost. The Subie dealer gave me a check for $580. Both were for illegal fees added. They are all crooks. CHECK your figures and do your home work so you know whatever line should be.
