Has anyone seen a front dual disc conversion kit, sliders, calipers, rotors, b-line, hub/wheel etc., for an otherwise stock 2007 FXSTC Custom ?
Brakes are not an area I really want to mix and match, trial and error, if you know what I mean.
Did a search on the forum but could not get an exact hit.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Hate admit it but but the current front brake works just fine, the dual disc is just a cosmetic upgrade I'm looking for,
more style than function I guess..........
You are going to be piecing some stuff together. Besides caliper, rotor, and brake lines, you will also need lower fork sliders and a wheel that can accept dual discs.
Depending on the route you go and what components you select, you could potentially need a new axle or have one custom machined.
I think the cheapest/easiest way to do this is to use the sliders from the touring bikes.
The HD-Brembo calipers are fairly cheap on eBay and work well.
You need to get a master cylinder from a twin disc as well
as figure out the RH disc mounting on your wheel, or get a dual disc wheel.
I did this type of conversion on my wifes Iron and it turned out great.
