Yesterday was an awesome day for me. Finally found a 2010 Crossbones and scooped it up! I got the bike because it is in great condition, but there are a lot of parts that the previous owner installed (mostly trim related stuff) that are not my style. To start off I want to put the OEM exhaust back on the bike.
There are alot of OEM exhaust systems on eBay for purchase, but I want to make sure I get a set that will fit.
From the research that I have done because my bike is a 2010 ANY softail model exhaust setup from 2009-2011 (brackets, mufflers, header pipes...the whole shabang) will fit. 2008 and below wont work because the frame width changed in 2009 and 2012+ the O2 bungs changed to 12mm so I couldn't use those either.
I just want to confirm that ANY of the softail models will work (i.e. deluxe, nighttrain, heritage classic, etc...basically anything with a FL "ST" in its name). If so this will make it much easier to find a set of pipes and brackets due to increased availability.
If you currently have an after market exhaust, you probably have your ECM mapped for that and a possible better air box. You may have to play with the mapping?
Ive got the stock exhaust off my 2011 Fatboy LO if you want it. $100 + whatever the cost of shipping is from Florida.
J3, I'm interested. Would it come with the brackets/hardware? I need pretty much everything to swap back. Let me know. I tried to PM you but I dont think I have the rights yet.

True, I will most likley get a fuelpak to redo the tune on the bike.
I will check when I get home and shoot you some pictures. I had the install done by the Harley dealership and they returned all my factory parts. Shoot me over an email address just in case.

That would be great. You can send pictures to: carcrazee021@aol.com
Sent it over. Not sure how much shipping will be as this is a huge item. But at least it gives you an idea of what a takeoff exhaust looks like in case you find one locally. You can kind of tell the brackets it has attached and maybe compare to yours.
