Maybe a good idea to wait for the 2019 models? I do like the Heritage as well. Also like the Deluxe.
New models are supposed to be out when?
On the Softails, only thing for 19 changing would be the paint IMO. Unless they introduce a Slim S with the 114 and dual front brakes... If they do that, ill have a slightly used 18 slim for sale LOL.
If you are interested in a Slim and you find one, make a smokin deal on one and dont look back. I paid just under 14k for my 18 industrial gray slim in May. MSRP was 16.3k I believe. I would guess you could get that deal to move an 18 vs. waiting for a 19 which will likely not be changed much.

Yeah, it's the same bike for $4k more....and you can build a Heritage out of a Slim for much less than $4k, which I did as you can see..$520 Endscuoio bags, $389 seat, $390 shield, and I can strip it down quick....and the 114 is not that much better than the 107 to justify the $ difference....I rode them both....the Slim is the best deal going if you want an FL type Softail...and I got mine for $1200 under MSRP, No Prep, No Freight AND a free 1k service from Iron Valley HD
Also, stock for Stock for 2up riding, the Slim has a lower passenger peg hight then the Heritage which gives the passenger more leg room.

3 minutes to adjust the passenger foot pegs. They move 3 position up or down.
I like the full fenders and cruise control. Sorry but motor is more noticeable in power. $18,500 at my dealer( 114) not sure what the slim would be.
In short.. good
bigger bags that lock, windshield, passenger seat, full fenders( I like) cruise control, bigger motor and More comfortable rider seat.
bad
change handle bars.
