I got one thing to say about all theis, WOW!!!
Glad it turned out to be something simple, but oddly enough its often the way of things.
One tip, before ypu pull everything apart to reroute the cables, stop in an your friendly neighborhood auto parts store and pick up a tube of dielectric grease. Fill up the connectors with that before you reconnect them and you won't be having water problems with them again or needto botherwith the electrical tape. Besides the tape often fails to do the job after isbeen bakedfor a while, and can be a Royal Pin In The A$$ to get off later, often leaveing amess of glue goo on things.
Okay...thanks. Hopefully I can find some of that dielectric grease over here...hopefully our auto store has some...we're kinda limited on certain things over here. I really miss Autozone.
Well, just talked with Jamie at MotoFuel and that I need to update the firmware of my PCIII. The code that I was referring to was given by the PC program. So, tomorrow I'm going to update the fireware...hopefully that'll fix the code.
A few hours ago, I cranked up the bike. The engine light came on and then off one time and that was it...not sure what it is.

The light going on and then off is just a stored code. Afrter 50 start ups and rides, believe it or not it goes away... I would use only dialectric grease.. W.D. 40 is great, but it invites dirt and displaces most types of grease...

oh yeah... Your welcome on the PC3 info....
Okay...but my question is still, what caused the error code? The wire from the load equalizer or what?
