Default Replace gaskets, or build motor up?

Long story short, I had my stock 96" bumped up to a 103 and put a cam in it 60k miles ago. But I noticed prior to a long work trip that the front jugs, base o-ring is seeping a bit more, as well as I have a head gasket starting to go. I decided I would postpone the repairs, until I get back as I am getting a second bike in the form of a 2019 or 2018 Road King Special. I will check run out on the bottom end, but with 60k would you guys just replace the gaskets and roll, or build the motor bigger? I love power, but I currently live in Hawaii and will be retiring to Australia within a year after I return, and neither place has many places to explore said power much.

I think it goes like this
ITS is a SLIPPERY SLOPE
The catalyst that will direct you is perhaps the cylinder measurements.
If the need service well then....why not?
If all they need is gaskets....use more Yamma Bond next time.

Yeah I agree it’s a slippery slope. My initial instinct says do it while I’m there, but I’m trying to be more restrained...

Had the same problem, base gaskets weeping, put up with it for about a year. Finely got bad enough that I decided to have them replaced. When I got done i had a NEW motor. A new long block, as the farther they got into the teardown the more they found wrong or questionable. Said that it look like the motor could have gone another 500 miles or 50 feet. If it comes to that you might want to look into the Harley Long Block replacement program.

I'll keep that in mind man. I always inspect the **** out of everything as I tear it apart, the hazards of being an aircraft mechanic...

The real hazard of being an AC mechanic is being stuck doing it the way they did 60 years ago.
That industry migrates less than a snail's pace.

Nope, work smarter not harder. I'm a rotary wing guy, we are not as stuck in the past.

You are probably right..... We are planning on ending up in the Lakes Entrance area, although my wife is from the Melbourne area.

Mate you couldn't be any more South than where I am I'm up in Sunny Far North Queensland , but yeps I have an open door policy with other bikers and net bikers I end up talking with,a few turn up every now and then , so if you're up here drop in to my place ,it's pretty wild though but you probably won't catch Cholera or anything serious just maybe be real grog sick when you leave.
Here's a thought ,if you freight that bike over this way send it to where I am , fly in to Oz up here and we'll ride to where you're going to live, "IF" that can work if not all good.
Just a though we ride on the other side of the road to the US.I will lead out until it makes sense.
Cheers man.
