2019 FXDR is here!

Just picked mine up today. I have been following this thread for about a week and here are a few thoughts.
1. I am an "ex" Kawasaki sportbike rider. This is my first Harley. I wanted an XR1200x but no one is parting with them.
2. Harley has been in racing / motorsports for a long time. I remember as a kid watching the short dirt track races with Harley's in them. Then there were the Buell's and the aforementioned XR1200x. And this bike is inspired by the NHRA dragsters currently being raced.
3. I have been waiting for Harley-Davidson to bring out the new style of bikes since the video from last month. Road Kings and Street Glides are gorgeous bikes, but those are not the kind of bikes I am interested in.
4. After putting 50 miles on it today before I went to work, a crotch rocket this is not. The steering is a bit heavier than my 750 Ninja, I am a bit short for the bikes current setup (I am 5'7"), and neutral is a pain in the *** to find. Those are my only gripes. If I sit closer to the tank, the pressure is off my wrist (aftermarket clip-ons in the future), and the bike is nimble. Took it through a favorite backroad of mine and handled the curves just fine. For someone who is used to inline fours, that 114 motor is a hoot! Highway speed in 2nd gear @ 2000 rpm, and the wind buffeting is surprisingly effective. The brakes (ABS) do a great job of stopping. I am getting used to Harley's control setup (Tried to start the bike hitting the right turn signal!, but cool that they are self cancelling
) and the build quality on this bike is superb. 5. Finally, opinions are like , well, you know every one has one. I get it there is a certain level of fandom, and hey there is nothing wrong with that, you like what you like. With that said, I like this bike. It is what I have been waiting for and so far, is exactly what I wanted in a Harley-Davidson. See you out there.
Picked up today
And it can't touch the bikes that cost 5-10k less
