Ive just bought some Custom Dynamic front turn signals for my 2018 FXBB. They are a 1157 connection but my street bob is running the single 1156 bulbs. Is there any way of changing this?
Ive noticed a few internet friends of mine have installed them and said the 1157s fit? Any idea why I would have the 1156 connection and not the 1157 as stock?
You shouldn't have 1156 bulbs in the front turn signals. You should have 1157 bulbs in the front. So the 1157 CD leds should work for your application.
In EU the front turn signals have single filament bulbs. They are not used as running lights as in the US and therefore those have double filament bulbs. You are supposed to have gotten the 1156 connectors for the EU.
You can try the 1157, they might work, but you won't be able to have running lights.
With your serial number you can go on the HD website and download the electrical plan of your bike. The wiring harness might have the wires already in place. So you can either solder the the LEDs directly or get the right 1157 mirror for the indicators. (the parts book is also available for your bike on the HD site)
Hi streetbobbervlogger, just like Rakthi said, if you have 1156 signals on the front of your FXBB, you probably have the International (HDI) model motorcycle. We do have a couple of 1156 options for HDI motorcycles, but they involve running extra wires to tap into your running power, so that you can have the turn signals operate as both running lights and turn signals, just like on the US-model motorcycles.

thanks for the reply..turns out here in the EU we have single bulbs not dual Day running ones so Ive had to buy new bulb housings with the 1157 connection so the CDs fit 👌
