I was riding down the road today and noticed that my speedo was bouncing up and down (not just a little bit but bad, back and forth between 60 and the 30 mph mark) any Ideas what could be causing this, any thing I should look for? The bike is a 05 FLSTF. Thanks for any help or sugestions.

 

Sounds a little like a flaky sending unit or a poor connection under the dash. If its still under the warrenty I would let the dealer deal with it. If not, start checking the connections. You could get lucky and find one that's a little loose.

 

Thanks, I just had some work done to it and the tank was taken off so I thought it was probably a loose conection but I figured Id throw the question out here before messing with it. Ill be taking it back to the shop that did the work on it A.S.A.P. so they can fix it. Thanks again.

 

If somebody had the tank off the connections under the speedo would be THE first place I would start looking, or have whoever did the work doing it.
