Second time only 110 kms after the first one

 

What's the story?

I really dont have any idea , the thing i m sure , i couldnt get the pleasure from the bike , I live in Istanbul and the season is 3 monthes , the bike was off in the half season. The value of my previous bike that i ride fow practising was 2000 usd but i didnt have any issues for 20.000 kms.

I had 5 issues with Harley Davidson

1- Monkey Business : The official dealer invoiced 2/3 of the real value after the deal and after the prepayment . I had to accept wht they did , since i was waiting this color of the Fat Bob 114 for a year and there was only one in the country .
2- First Service Care : The authorized service made the care and they changed cylinder gaskets . It was sad to have oil leaking problem in the first 2000 kms
3- Disturbing Noise : I thought that there s smthng wrong with the engine . But it was funny when i understood that the Tank Lid vibrates . Dude , it s smthng simple not needs an engineering or technology . It s just a simple Tank Lid . It is my first HD experience but i was teasing to my dealer '' Is it indian or harley davidson ''
4- Three days after the first Service Care : I told that i hear one another strong mechanic sound when i start the engine on the gear . It was like crashing the iron. But the bike didnt make the same sound during the service care . The service told me not to start the machine on gear . Only three days after the first sercive care , it was a sunny weekend , i went out by bike , i stopped the bike during the break and it didnt work again . I called the service they came in a few hours and we understood that the compensator asy got broken . then we ordered the part from eu stocks and waited almost 2 weeks more for the delivery of the part etc.
5- Only 110 kms after the Compensator Change : It was immediately before a long official holiday in the country and i was getting excited to get the bike from the service , i had already planned the route to hit . I went to the service , i was thankful to them that they fixed the bike immediately after they recieved the compensator . They told they fixed and had a test ride . '' Everything is OK . '' Then i got the bike , prepared myself and hit on the way as like as HD Commercials . But 110 kms later : I wanted to have a cold drink , there was supermarket on my way . It was so crowded and the people was stairing on the charming bike . I stopped , they celebrated me for the brand new bike . I had the drink . Then i couldnt make it start . It didnt work again dude.. IT DID NOT WORK AGAIN.. It was holiday.. The service was off.. You know the machine s heavy . He rided me for a long way. Then i waited till yesterday .

Now , the bike on the lift and for a week , i called Harley Davidson USA , i could just leave my voice msgs to them by a complaint number .

The season is 3 monthes , The bike was broken in the half of the season . It got older in the garage and in the service .

Mate , I have paid 28.000 Euros for FXFBS , In USA , they are selling CVO models in such prices . It became a disappointment .

 

Damn I'm sorry to hear about your troubles. I don't understand how it would just break like that out of no where... And I though my issues were frustrating. My bike has been in and out of the shop since the first service and currently has been in the shop for almost a week now for oil leaking out of the air cleaner so I'm with you on not being able to ride. I hope they get your issues figured out and this doesn't happen to you for a third time! Good luck.

OK, understand your frustration now. That's nasty man. You must really have a talk with your dealer, damn!

 

 

Dang, you guys are scaring me out of buying a new bike. Sorry to be hearing about your troubles. That's just not right.
