Do or have any of you used your bike for transportation to a business trip? I do several 3-5 day
trips and I am thinking of riding my bike about a 450 one way trip. Use the bike while there then 450 mile trip back home? Gotta carry a computer and business clothes (but no suits). Just hate to fly over all the great riding when I could enjoy it alot more.
Now that's my idea of a "business trip". The farthest I typically go for"business" is about 2 hours away, but I do it all the time and love it. I'm lucky enough to be able to get by with nice jeans, a nice shirt and boots for mostdays. If I'm meeting someone for the first time I just let them know ahead of time that I have a few"issues" and that riding the scooteris my way of coping.......they usually get a kick out of it. The weather is obviously more of a factor and something to plan around. I haven't ridden it as much this year because I'm in central Oklahoma and we're in the middle of a friggin monsoon season.
I an executive and have been wanting to try this. I recently bought a T-Bag that I could transport my laptopand I also don't where suits. I call on the manufacturing sector and the guys on the floor would go nuts. I always see Harley sticker everywhere while on calls. In fact when I do a site survey I wear a Black with Flames Harley hard hat...You guys got me all amped up now....should I do this????
Check the weather and DO IT!!!!!
The first few times I rode my bike to meetings the slacks got on my nerves I got some dickies and they look nice and feel a lot better. Also most people I meet with relax more when they see the bike and the meetings become more enjoyable.
You now that's what I was thinking, They always talk about my Harley Hard hat it's a great ice breaker. But the slack issue I'll need to resolve. I'll look at the Dickies, But I gotta try this, way cool!
