Default Fatboy handlebars on Softail Slim

I have a 2013 Softail Slim, and I absolutely love it. The only thing that was a bit of a disappointment was the stock handlebar placement. I've always wanted the sitting position of the Fatboy. So let me tell you a story...

I recently dropped my bike, got a couple dents and scratches and bent up my handlebars. I called my insurance, and since I had a $0 deductable, I decided to let them pay for repairs. As I was talking to the person at the shop, I asked if I could replace my stock handlebars with Fatboy handlebars, and basically the answer I got was, "yes, but no." Fatboy handlebars are 1 1/4", and Slims are 1". I could get new clamps/risers to fit the Fatboy handlebars, but I don't like the looks of those clamps. So I think I'm going to stick with stock for now.

But it got me thinking, if I could find Fatboy style handlebars with a 1" diameter, then I'd be happy. Anyone have any thoughts, ideas or suggestions? TIA!

Reigniting an old thread here, but did you get anywhere with this?

Thinking of maybe doing the same - I like the Hollywood bars, but want an inch or two extra pullback... and I hate risers and don't want apes.

Looking at beach bars too

What about going with bars from an older fatboy? They're 1" diameter. Harley has gotten into the habit of inhibiting "cross pollination" of parts on their various models so they make subtle changes to try and foil owners who like to modify things themselves.

Good idea

Anyone know if Slim bars are easy to swap? I've heard about fly-by-wire cabling issues?

So to do a conversion, you'll need 1.25 inch risers and handlebar clamp. Could be done easily, but I didn't want chrome, so I'd have to powder coat it. Also, 13s weren't throttle by wire, however the system isn't hard to unplug, fish through the handlebars and plug back in as far as I know.
