Besides apes, what bars have some swapped to on their night trains??? I love the look of the bars and risers on my 04' NT but since riding to lake placid from Toronto my back has never been the same lol.
Dont want apes for this bike, thinking of either taller risers with the same bars (not sure if that will help with back pain) or pullback style drag bars. Would love to see pics or hear about what has worked comfort wise for others while still keeping the NT look
No. Street slammers are just tubular T bars. You can see in the pic I posted that these were a solid piece of aluminum and the risers bolted on from the bottom.
Like I said, they were wider and very slight increase in pullback.
Comfort is 100% subjective so what I say is great, you might find horrible and visa versa

Call me blind, but I can't see the riser in that pic which is why I asked lol..Yes I know comfort is subjective to rider- how tall are you?

Very comfortable.
In my opinion it looks right to have risers than t bars on a train
pictures as requested of the Dyna Wide Glide Bars. I have used the 6 curved pull back fat risers (P/N 56267-09). But I did cut 3/4 off the bottom and tapped the threads deeper to suit. Clutch cable is 38849-09 and throttle / idle cable 38781-06.
I am 62 and love the ride position with this set up. Very neutral wrist position and travelling long distances is not a problem.

Bike looks great!! Thank you for sharing...I'm debating between 6.5" or 8.5" pullback risers if I go the riser route
I've got a 2003 Night Train. Put on 2003/2004 Wide Glide bars on it. Much different from the Wide Glide bars shown above.
Did not leave risers on. Kind of like mini apes.
Older pic showing bars a little better:
