Default Rush Muffler Tips

I'm getting Rush slipons soon but I'm not crazy about the slash downs, straight cuts, or baloney cuts.

I noticed hey have a muffer with styled tips that bolt on. But I don't think I've seen a single picture of a bike in these forums that use them. Just wondering why. I'm wondering how awkward looking or obvious the bolts are that hold the muffler tips on.

Anyone used these or seen them on a bike?

I was only given the 3 "traditional" options for the cutouts when I ordered my Rush slip ons from my dealer recently. I didnt know we had the option of different tips too?

I got the Rush slip ons with tips andthe 2.25" baffles for my '06 Deluxe and LOVE them... I was a bit hesitant because I didn't know anyone with them so I was concerned about the boltsand sound. However, I was very much surprised.

They sound awesome - far better than the other brands out there. And yes, you have more tip choices than the same old slash or baloney cuts.

I opted for the 3003 style tips (stepped up with flared end) and they look great. Granted, it would be nice if it was one piece, but the bolts aren't the eyesores I feared and it allows the ability to easily change them out if I ever want to. I can't go anywhere without someone stopping to admire and asking what brand they are.

I tried to upload a closeup of mine, hopefully you can see what you're looking for.

Hope this helps...

Looks great, and thanks for the pic! I think I might be going with them if I can decide which tip.

Never realised you could whack them on.

Those tapered with the camfered holes look good.

Seems to me the mufflers were around $280 and the tips were about another $75 for the pair...then there's those "hidden costs" of the stage one kit and download that you have to add (unless you go with the power commander and run the download yourself). Stage one is about $130 and the download was another $200 and change. Have read some sites that indicate you don't "have" to open up the front and can just use the Rush's right out of the box, but it made a noticable difference (more power!) and I wouldn't take the chance.

Thanks for the info! Yeah, I've heard both stories too. Seems like with just slips, you shouldn't have to do it; but you boys all love the added power.

If you get the 27 series pipes you can add a host of tips to them. That's what I did.
