Default Upside down Mirrors..

Hey everyone,

I have 16" ape hangers and was toying around with the idea of putting my mirrors upside down (under the grip as opposed to above).

However when doing so, the mirrors I have don't bend far enough up (since they are designed to be above).

Does anyone have this setup and which mirrors do you have that swivel enough in either direction to accommodate such a change?

Pictures and links are appreciated

Thanks in advance

I have 16" apes on my Breakout with Arlen Ness Mini Oval Mirrors. I just had to install the "Left" and "Right" mirror on the opposite side when mounting under the bars.

They come in black or chrome....http://www.arlenness.com/prodcat/Mirror32.asp

I had it under the grip but could not see without moving my head or raising my arm as to not be looking at my elbows and arms.

So now I have it the other way and I feel safer with it.

I did this with stock mirrors on some 10" mini apes once. Try rotating the bar control module a little and see if that gives you the difference you need without messing up your lever/hand position.

I have 16 inch Apes on my 07 Softail Custom and I simply switched the stock mirrors and mounted them under the bars. I did it because I think it looks better, however, unless I turn my head, I get a view of my arm pits. LOL

i got 14s and just turned the stock mirrors and mounted those under the bars, work great. If i want to look in my left hand mirror i just take that hand off the bar LOL. If i want to look at the throttle side then i just lower my arm.its not easy but hey, if you want to be cool you gotta pay the price.

Wouldn't this create a problem with the view being upside down?

Depends on the brand and viscosity of the blinker fluid you use.

And of course, your location relative to the equator. In Australia for example the image will be switched left to right.
