For those of you considering slip on for your Street Bob. I just installed Vance and Hines 3 inch slip ons with quiet baffles. $350 on Amazon plus $100 ish for quiet baffles. Bike Sounds great. Deep sound. Not loud at idle or low RPMs. Twist throttle hard and it will bark. Great for neighbors but now sounds like a Harley. Almost too quiet but not like the stock mufflers. Installing the slip ons is easy with a trick. Remove bottom stock slip on first. Then remove muffler bracket attached to upper slip on together . So three bolts for bottom. Then two bolts for bracket. Then three bolts to separate slip on from bracket. The rear two bolts on upper muffler is angled. Dont try and remove while on bike. You will strip it. Now getting the quiet baffles in is a different story. I got them in with wood and a hammer. Fiber glass bunches up and its a tight fit. You can you tube tricks. If I had to do it over I would put the slip ons first then install quiet baffles so bike is holding the slip ons for you while you do the impossible task of getting quiet baffles in. Second benefit is hearing the competition baffles already installed. You might like that better. They look like they are loud as they are hollow like a Straight shot. I have zero skills. Took one hour and two beers. You can do this. Tools required are on the instructions and most likely already have. Some guys reported doing this in 30 minutes.
