S&S Super E jetting
I'm visiting from the Shovelhead arena, I'm here for my friend who's not to internet capable. He has acquired a 2000 Soft-tail custome, 88ci. TC. Right now the bike is stock. He has collected a V&H 2-into-1 Pro Pipe and a S&S Super E. Trying to figure out a good starting point for the jet size. Right now the bike is stock.
Anyone have this set up? Any help is more than welcome

I know he's already got the Super E, but if it was me......
I would sell the S&S Super E, and go with the OEM Keihin CV 40 carb. The CV 40 used on the Twin Cams is a far cry better than the Keihin carbs used on the old shovel heads (I put an SUII on my old, built shovel). The CV40 is under appreciated and under rated. It's easy to rebuild and tune. It can handle a twin cam with up to about 120HP.
I have one on my '01 twin Cam 88ci. I bought the bike a year ago, and the carb needed to be gone through. I have V&H Big shots and a high flow air cleaner. With a needle change and mixture screw adjustment (OEM 45/190 jets), this bike runs excellent.... When I start it, it fires up within milliseconds of hitting the starter button. If this bike were a kick start, it would fire up reliably on one kick! I've grown rather fond of the CV 40 carb because of this bike.. can't say that about my old shovels OEM carbs...
