That it a lot of miles for a motorcycle, far above what the average bike gets, but honestly, it really isn't that many miles for a year. I put way more than that on my work truck.

If you lived 50 miles from work, and rode every day, that would be 26,000 miles in a year just commuting. Even if you skipped commuting on the bike here and there, it is pretty easy to but 400 - 600 miles on in a weekend.

I don't ride that much myself (logged just under 9,000 last year), but I don't have any trouble believing people do it.

First let me say, there is no one that I need to impress (well, except maybe Lauren) on this board or in life. I ride every day, rain, shine, hot or cold. I've done this for many years. It's not a hobby, it's not a , "look at me, I'm cool because I'm riding a Harley", it's a passion that got a hold of me over 50 years ago.

Below is a pic of my odometer. I bought this bike October 20, 2017. It had 3 miles on it when I took possession.

Sorry for the rant but, I'm not particularly fond of being call a liar.

Rant over.

Um.... OK....

If true, then why bother making this post.... ?????

When I bought my 2002 Ultra Classic ElectraGlide, I joined this board. This is my second ElectraGlide . I was also called a liar when I did not have proof of the 800,000 miles I've ridden since 1982. I was also called names when I offered mechanical procedures to avoid unnecessary mechanical work. Some people on this board believe there is no life before signing up here. I've learned to ignore them.

My first 18 years in the militry I didn't own a 4 wheel vehicle. And I used to easily put 1000-1500 miles on the weekend. I was single and attending various levels of rallies then. I also had a couple of friends that I rode with and we camped almost every weekend.

Most people on this board have never rode 1000 miles in one day.much less gotten off work at noon Friday, rode 8-12 hours to a rally, only to return on Monday.

1990 was my highest mileage year at 39,8xx. Just under 40k. Carteret/Craven CBA awarded me the highest mileage for the chapter that year. NC was new to me then, and I was exploring CBA rallies as well as doing various NC 'history' rides.

When I joined this board, I was asked to tell about myself and my motorcycle history. When I did so, I also was called liar.

I do realize that Harley owners are a dime a dozen, bikers are few and far between.

But I like buying their used bikes at 40% of new with maybe 3000 annual mileage on them.

Bummer on the buildings and the folks out of work. March is a good time...it'll be cold until then. Not that you can't ride in it, just more enjoyable to ride in a bit warmer weather.

Good job enjoying your ride. It's funny how some people have nothing better to do than to try to debunk your proof and basically try to call you a liar because they can't ride as much as you have been able to. Pretty lame but I guess that's just how they make themselves feel better about their lack of something or another which has lowered their self-esteem. Ride on bro!
