I've been accused of, lets just say "being less than honest" about the miles I have put on my 18 Heritage.
First let me say, there is no one that I need to impress (well, except maybe Lauren) on this board or in life. I ride every day, rain, shine, hot or cold. I've done this for many years. It's not a hobby, it's not a , "look at me, I'm cool because I'm riding a Harley", it's a passion that got a hold of me over 50 years ago.
Below is a pic of my odometer. I bought this bike October 20, 2017. It had 3 miles on it when I took possession.
Sorry for the rant but, I'm not particularly fond of being call a liar.
Dang I thought I liked to ride, but man that is impressive. I only work 5 miles from my work now, so my bike mileage will drop, plus I ride two different bikes.
A final piece, why care what others think, you know who you are, f-them.
Looks like you might want to put some fuel in that ride. Good on the mileage, think I read somewhere on here that someone did over 100,000 miles both are impressive to some of us up north.
I'm miles (literally) from your mileage. Only 16,000 on mine which isn't bad for 14 months. It was such a wet spring that I barely rode for 8 weeks. But we're into the best time now so hopefully I'll add some more miles.
I put 18k in a year and a month on my breakout despite being down for 3-4 months of the winter. Trips to and from Sturgis, NY, and Rolling thunder from Michigan multiple times during that timeframe racked up the miles easily. A guy i know in his 70s bought his 14 ultra limited brand new that year and was at 86000 miles by rolling thunder 2016. And he's from hot springs, SD. Some people are natural skeptics. I'm generally impressed when people have the time/drive to rack up those miles and love to read/hear about those miles.
