I am interested in putting Samson fishtails on my Deluxe. I've seen several forum that recommend 39" over 36". For those of you that have longer fishtails do you find that they scrape the ground a lot?
I have 39" Samsons. I have Shotgun Shocks so I usually ride a bit lower than stock and scrape on tight turns.
I imagine at stock height probably not too much...
I'm also getting ready to lower my front suspension 1" to even out the bike a bit which may help as well....

I'm torn between 36" and 39" cholos. I love the look of 39" but wonder if the scrapping would be aggravating. I do have stock suspension.
Minw was lowered 2" in the rear before I ran my 39" samsons. After installing the 39"s with a 2" drop I would scrape on turns. I raised the rear 1" and no more scraping.
I figure if I end up dropping the front 2" I can then drop the back another inch and still be fine. I'm not sold yet on going with an air system that can fail on me 100 miles from home, and then have to get a tow truck because the *** is dragging.
