hey spike, thats a nice bike you have there......

ORIGINAL: spike95

It doesn't flow well with that tankand that seat is like a sloppy afterthought of design. I know compromises had to be made for that fender setup but I'd think that hotshot engineers could do better than that. Witha couple changes I think it could be really sick. The aftermarket is gonna have a hayday with that thing, so long as it stays in production past this year.

Holy crap! I don't think I could be more underwhelmed and disappointed. This is the best they could do with their move into "big tire" territory? It looks like a really bad backyard chop on a Deuce. What? They had some leftover Deuce tanks so they decided to build a model line around it? Willie G has broken the cardinal rule in design: A good design combines its individual components into a unified whole. This bike needed a fuel tank as "radical" and uniqueas its rear end. I actually LOVE the Deuce tank - on the Deuce! I will tell you one thing. I was debating whether, or not to order an '08, or get a 07' Deuce. I was planning to wait and see the '08 changes. Now that I have seen it, I am ordering the Deuce!

If you took a close look at who is running your country I am quite confident you could find it within yourself to be more underwhelmed and disappointed than in the new Harley for 2008.

The pic below I actually quite like IF you can take off the rear pillion seat!

I like it. It has potential. I will probably get it for the wife. She won't agree with a second bike so.. I have to convince her, it's for her. I think it is ugly stock but I think that about all Harleys. I can see it with a custom seat, wider rear tire, custom exhuast, tank lift and stretch, chrome and etc..

I bet it will sell fairly well. JMHO

Its already got a 240mm rear tire and what appears to be a Deuce length tank. Just how far/wide do you think you could go with it? I mean (IMHO) 200mm is about as wide as is truely practical on a bike you intend to go farther thanback and forth to the local bar on.
I think it would be interestingto see what one would look likewith aset of pipes on it like the Big Radius.

If I where to buy it as a second bike.. practicality would not be my priority. I would like it to be as close to a chopper as possible. I agree with you about the tires size being practical though. 240 is the max I would put on my daily rider. For this bike, I would like a 280 or maybe 300. The tank would be a real stretch tank. Like the ones that come to a point and seem to dissapear under the seat. I like choppers but I don't like buying them pre-manufactured. In my opinion, this new Rocker is close enough to the look where it wouldn't cost me a mega fortune to produce what I consider a modern day chopper.
