Bad vibration
Maybe someone has dealt with this issue. I have a 2008 Deluxe with 14k miles on it. I took it for a ride Sunday, and about 100 miles into it, I started noticing a vibration through my floorboards and really all thru the bike. The vibration co insides with the rpm. When I pull the clutch in it goes totally away, even if I rev the motor up. I pulled the outer primary to check the compensator, chain tensioner, and clutch. The chain was too tight in my opinion, and I ordered a Hayden to replace the stock auto adjusted one. I checked clutch adjustment, and it was good. The only thing I noticed wrong was the tensioner being tight. The compensator was tight with zero slop. Clutch basket looks good. Could the primary chain being tight cause that kinda vibration? Thanks
I found it last night!! It was my kickstand pivot pin hitting an engine bolt! You can flip it around or take the washer out and put it on the other side!! Hope this helps anyone!!
